Sir Bob Geldof takes inspiration from Live Aid to host star-studded and emotional fundraising concert for Ukraine
In the very early bewildering days of the Ukraine war, narrativ was part of a coalition of producers, designers and artists who came together to raise money for and show solidarity with the people suddenly uprooted by the Russian invasion.
Working closely with the founder of Secret Cinema, Fabien Riggall, the quickly assembled event production team hosted a star-studded fundraising concert at the Roundhouse in London. The emotional event was put together in 9 days and only 17 days after the start of the conflict. Musician and political activist Sir Bob Geldoff was joined by fellow Irish singer Imelda May, along with a host of other artists including Franz Ferdinand, Pretenders star Chrissie Hynde, Eckoes, Peter Xan, Joseph Toonga, Nadeem Din-Gabisi, Joseph Lawrence, Collette Cooper, Archive and Tom Baxter.
Narrativ created all of the striking visual content for press and promotion of the event for free, working quickly and efficiently to update content with the ever changing list of performers. The event was a huge success and the money raised from the concert went towards the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal which supports the local aid effort to provide cash assistance, food, healthcare, clean water, shelter, protection and much more.
